For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.
John 3:16
To do this, you must trust God. God has given you His Word so that your faith will grow to the place that you receive God’s Spirit into your heart.
God’s love for us is beyond our ability to comprehend. He loved us so much that He gave up His only Son, who not only died in our place. God freely offers us life through Him. And there was not one thing we could do to earn this. It is by grace that we are saved. Salvation is a gift that Jesus bought for us with His own blood.
But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved).
Ephesians 2:4-5
Here is a summary of the gospel, which is the good news of Jesus Christ. God sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to the earth to die in our place to pay for our sins. Then, God raised Jesus from the dead.
For I delivered to you first of all that which I also received: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures.
I Corinthians 15:3-4
This scripture reminds us that we have all sinned and missed God’s plan for our lives.
for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.
Romans 3:23
Though we all have sinned against God and deserve to separated from Him, He offers to save us through His Son, Jesus Christ.
For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Romans 6:23
The love of God for us is most powerfully demonstrated in the sacrifice of His only Son for us.
But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
Romans 5:8
I encourage you to take a step of faith today. God will make you a new person if you will confess that His Son, Jesus Christ, is the Lord of your life. God loves you, and He wants to come into you by His Spirit and give you His life. This is the most important decision of your life, but if you open your heart to Him, He will give you the strength to do this.
But what does it say? “The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart” (that is, the word of faith which we preach): that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
Romans 10:8-10
According to this scripture, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is your Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Jesus from the dead, you will be saved. What does it mean for Jesus Christ to be your Lord? When Jesus is your Lord, you look to Him to lead you in life instead of trying to live without Him. It means that you are committing your life to Him and allowing Him to impart His life to you. Have you ever confessed that Jesus Christ is your Lord? This is how you enter a relationship with God and become His child. If you would like to do that, pray the prayer below.
PRAYER
Father God,
I believe that Jesus Christ is Your Son, and that You sent Him to the earth, and that He died on the cross bearing my sins in my place. Father, I believe that You raised Jesus from the dead, and that Jesus is alive.
Dear Jesus, I confess with my mouth that You are my Lord. I will follow You all the days of my life. Thank You, Jesus, for making me a new person in You. I thank You, Lord, that I am now free from all sin so that from now on I can enjoy being Your child. My life is Yours, and Your life is mine. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.
